Default 1979 242DL - Looking for Replacement Fuel Pump (0 580 254 996)

I am working on restoring my family's 1979 Volvo 242DL and the fuel pump is dead. I removed the unit and was surprised that it is not the typical fuel pump I've seen on other 240's.

I was doing a bit of digging and the 0580254996 fuel pump is no longer being produced. I've seen some old stock is going for a lot. I called on online Volvo Shop and they were not able to provide me any information on a replacement part.

I am hoping that someone on this forum knows of a replacement/upgrade/compatible for my fuel pump?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Voluparts.com in Atlanta 404 352-3402 has a solution with hoses and brackets - to fit a later style pump.

Ask for Bill.

There is also a pre pump inside the gas tank that I recommend you test while at it.
