Default 1979 245 dl

I own a 1979 245 DL wagon. A few months ago it started to lug under load. Trying to accelerate up a hill, for example, produced hiccups and lugging. I changed the spark plugs and fuel filter. That fixed it, but only in the mornings. It drives great all morning, but then in the afternoon, the lugging and hiccups are back. I changed the air filter. Again, an improvement. Now the lugging is fewer and far between. But still, it lugs a bit. I'm a reluctant do-it-yourselfer and have little faith in my ability to diagnose and resolve a fuel delivery issue (which is what I now think it is). Any thoughts on this Click and Clack-kinda issue?

I suspect the ignition wire set if they haven't been changed in awhile. In a darkened area, like a garage at night with the lights off, take a look under the hood with the engine running. You may see little arcs and sparks coming off the ignition wires. That's an indication they need replacement. I would use Bougicord brand.
