Gotta love these forums, I am thinking about buying a 1980 240 DL, 98,000, great condition, a little rust at the door hinges, excellent maintenance, no power steering, no a.c., but the owner did have a power sun roof, and a kick but stereo installed. Asking price is $3000.00, but geez, I was thinking more like a grand. Am I way off base??

I would say between $1000.00 or 1500.00

 

I agree. $3000 is way too high. I think it could be a decent buy @ 1000, and possibly a great buy for less than that.

 

No way should you spend 3K on that year car. Find a newer one for that kind of money. Geez 3K and you should be able to find a late 80's early 90's 940 turbo.
