1984 Volvo 240 DL 2-door
Hello!
Can anyone tell me what a 1984 240 DL two door might be worth? I can't really find anything about them. All I see our 4 doors. The motor has damage, according to the mechanic, and I don't really have any money to put a new motor in it. I am going to sell it, but the engine is bad so I'm hoping the rare-ish body might be worth something?
Thanks!
Ben

Ben, 242's (2 door model), while less common than 4 and 5 door models, bring very little more money particularly when they are non-runners. Without knowing the condition of the body, interior or other driveline components, it's anyone's guess. Recently on turbobricks.com, I saw a flawless looking 242 go to the crusher for $200. I paid $200 for my 80 242GT complete. It was in rough cosmetic shape and the motor temporarily did not run but it was complete. The asking price is never etched in stone but if the body is fine and the interior does not look as if a family of raccoons lived in it, I'd ask $500 and be prepared to go as low as 150-200. Selling prices are higher on the west coast and lower in the rust belt.typically
