1986 240 idles perfect, very poor acceleration
Hey and thanks in advance,
I have a 1986 volvo 240 manual which i love dearly. Recently (2 days ago) it developed a problem which i cant seem to find. Tried searching existing threads but nothing that really seemed to do it.
my car is on straight lpg so no MAF sensor or fuel pressure issues to worry about. Basically car turns on perfect and idles great but feels like ive just lost half my power. Cant say anything strange happened, just parked and about 2hrs later boom i now have this issue.
all the vaccum lines seem good. Electrical connections seem ok just strange to me that i did nothing and now has major symptoms. Have checked every single fuse that i can find and even left air box open and tried driving to see if it was a air restriction issue
Only thing i havent checked is the cat but what are the chances that just instantly blocks?
Is there anything else i could check? Any help would be much appreciated, will continue to search for problems on my next day off.
thankyou.

Did I read this correctly? Is this an Liquid Petroleum Gas conversion? Not many of those around; maybe there is a LPG conversion group with a forum around somewhere here on the net. I bet that is where your problem is; rather than the original Volvo systems .Perhaps going back to the outfit that did the conversion?
