The deal under the master cylinder is either1. the cruise control or possibly an axillary vacuum pump to keep climate control vents working under boost. My 90 was different and so was the 84 760. Regardless, it has nothing to do w/ a no start. The deal up by the battery is the ignition module. When it fails the car will not run. If you unplugged it while the engine was running you may have damaged it. Double check both ends of the connector for bent or broken connectors. It may be the wire(s) are broken inside the connector. Or, you may need to scrounge another ignitor at the jy. If you have an ohm meter, you could check the resistance of the module and see if it's toast.

Yeah the 3 prong module is Cruise. Dont need it. The Powerstage should not be bad if you just unplugged it with the car off. My bet is the powerstage has a crossed wire/short. 86 and above was supposed to have better wiring harnesses. The ones that did not decay. I would untape the wires going to the powerstage and check them.
