I recently bought a used 740. This is my first Volvo and I do not know much about the history of this car. My problem is when I was driving my car I pressed in the clutch pedal to down shift and I felt and hear a pop sound. I knew immediately that something bad had happened and I was unable to shift. I tried all of my gears and I could only get the car into reverse or third gear. I was wondering if anyone knew what possibly could have happened or what I should look for when I attempt to fix it.
