I am working on my daughters 1989 245 with the 2.3 liter engine. It won't start, I am not getting spark from the ignition coil to the distributer. I think it's the coil as it's getting 12 volts constant on the positive side, and flickering 12 volts on the other. Here is my question though. I have the Haynes manual and it suggests it could be the connection to what it calls the RPM sensor, or he sensor it's self. It says it should be on top of the bell housing. I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if this model has the RPM sensor.
