Default 1990 240 Running Hot

Hello,

I've been having problems with my new (1990) 240 running hot. I actually overheated during my emissions test, while passing. An embarrassing success. Anyway, I was wondering if you had any adivce for me. I've read a little bit about pulling the radiator and hitting it with a high powered hose.... the second part sounds a lot easier than the first. Also, I've heard about a possible clutch fan problem. Whatever that means. Needless to say I'm in need of advice. Pehaps starting with where I might look on my vehicle for a clutch fan, and how I might tell if it's working. Sorry for my stupidity, but I guess you have to start smoewhere. So here I am at square one. Any thoughts?

Buddy.

First check and see if the thermostat broke.
