1990 volvo 240 dl running problems
this is cunfusing! some are going to hate to hear this but we run volovs in demo derbys. the problem i have is i can get the car to run only if i unplug the mass air sensor and the injectors and start the car up then shut it off. after i shut it off, plug the injectors and mass air back in and start it up. it will then run with a little miss here and there. once running i put it in gear to go forward no power it misses and cuts off. someone please help! thanks for your time and help
Volvo's, especially the 240 series, are extremely intelligent and resourceful. It has put itself into double-secret self-preservation mode to avoid death-by-derby. Please be respectful of it's autonomy - set it free to frolick with other Volvos - such a wonderful sight to behold.
bigdaddy-mass air is good. when we have it started now it idels fine but when we put it gear and try to go it trys to stall out if we dont put in neutral and pat the gas. where im confused is that it idels fine. if it stalls out then thats when it wont start and we have to unplug the mass air and fuel injectures, turn the motor over and then plug everything back up and then it will start
I have a 1990 Volvo 240 DL, have these 2 codes I can't get rid of. Replaced with new parts, injectors, cold start valve, O2 sensor, water temp sensor and a used mass air flow sensor. today it started acting like it did before I change the MAF sensor, so I unplugged the MAF and it runs good again.
