Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area I'm new to all this.

So i just got my first car which is a 1990 240DL Sedan. One of the problems is that the stereo does not work. Its a new stereo. The lady i got it from just got it and tried having her daughters boy friend install it. The thing does not even power up and it looks like all the wires are installed right. Anywhere else to check?

Nothing worse than an aftermarket radio installation by a newbie.

If it was me I would start over. Go to crutchfield.com. They have all the information and materials for proper install.
