Default 1990 240DL Automatic - Stalling Issues

I have the above mentioned car, and lately it has been stalling while it idols, no matter if the engine is hot or cold. This eventually let to the car not starting. At that time I changed the fuel filter. I had a similar problem on another car (not a volvo) and it fixed the problem. It wasn't the issues, but it would of become one, the fuel in it was compleatly black.

Not having any more money for the month and needing it repaired, I borrowed money from the inlaws to have it taken to a shop. The managed to bring the car to life. They cleaned the fuel injector, did a tune up, and changed the oil. However the car still continues to die at an idol (waiting for lights and so on), but so far it continues to start. There are no problems with the car when it's driving down the road.

I just got paid and need to fix it, any ideas? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

How old is the fuel pump relay?
Did they clean the throttle body?
Does the car have a speed sensor or a sensor in the Dist.?

my 1991 740 does the same thing, I found the connectors to the relay were loose. The relay was located centre of dash under the lighter, the fuse cluster comes out the relay was located to the left and the back of the group, when I moved it the car was fine.I turned the cluster over and crimped the connectors.
