I am going to be changing the tie rods on my 1991 240. It has the Cam Gear rack and pinion (not ZF). My manual says it takes oil rather than grease and to squirt some in with an oil can just before tightening the outer rack boot clamps.

My question is: What kind/weight of oil and how much?
