excellent, what a job! BTW What color did you decide on for the headliner and what did you do about carpets? I priced mine @ $400 installed, yours looks like something you're doing yourself?

Cool....Actually a 19T on my car would be awsome!

Tech........that guy you bought the exhaust housing from on turbobricks...I think he is still doing a 19T group buy...I think it is ~$450???

thanks...

I am thinking of a grey or beige color...Probably a sand grey beige combo???

Yes, I am doing all the work myself...wel What I feel like doing. The only things I havent done on my car, was the exhaust, the window tint, and I am going to have someone do the headliner.

I bought an entire black interior from a budy of mine for $175! I couldn't pass that up....I got black carpet (Factory carpets) included in that price....

Haha....Yeah that is what I keep saying. Once I get a paint job.....Then it will be a brand new car, with 258,000 miles!

I am driving it gutted right now, well all that is in there is front two seats the new black carpet and the dash. I am enjoying the car this week as is . It feels stupid light and is much quicker!

Bit of a tip for you, auto touch up paint in a can works great on plastic trim if you thoroughly degreas eit first. So, you can paint all those little bits an dpieces in black that are beige. Just use a few light coats rather than one heavy coat.
You can re cover your own headliner if you want to, around a one hour job if it's already out of the car. You will need around 2.5m of material (lightweight carpet looks great and is very easy to work with) and approximately half a litre (a pint) of a high quality sprayable contact adhesive, plus a cheapo spray gun and compressor. Don't use glue in a can, it's all too thin and doesn't last.
Get back to me when you have those bits and I'll tell you the pro way to do it!

Regards, Andrew.

Thanks...I will probably end up doing this....But I am going to wait....

Anyways, I dropped off the headliner and I wiil pick it up tomorrow. It will be the stock Ivory??? color....
So hopefully I can finish this project on Saturday in time for the SoCal volvo meet on Sunday....

I just need to remember which bolts/screws go where

Update:///
I have been running the 13c @ 15psi for the past weeks...And boy it is a lot of fun! Too bad the tiny turbo gets to hot to run anymore than that.
My but Dyno says YES!!! and that BMW says Oh SH*T!

I should probably make a project thread for the new 82 244 we got......

Definitally some good stuff in this thread. Thanks! I'm going to use this as inspiration for the '88 740 Turbo I just picked up.

Question, how loud is the car with the 3" exhaust, a resonater, and a muffler? I'm thinking about just dropping my muffler for now like you did before you got your whole exhaust setup complete.

Thanks...

If you just remove the rear muffler, It is not that loud. Remember that the turbo, cat and resinator all quiet the exhaust system.

The 3" system is actually pretty quite....At Idle it is the loudess when first started, and when your off the throttle it has a real deep note you can hear in the car.....
I will get a better video of the exhaust and stuff once the interior is back in the car.

Well....Some stuff got in the way of the interior swap, but I will get pics of the finished car on Sunday..... It is looking 100x better than the crapy torn up tan leather seats.

Anyways.... Here is a quick drive by of the new exhaust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBFNDg7OEHQ Yes that is my air horns in the beginning
I past the camera @64mph during the first pass. In the second pass I shift an Auto like a Retard...hehehe.....then The first in car is only up to 55mph....backing off the throttle the whole time, and the last speedo shot it sweet.....car sounds a lot better then it did!
