Thanks guys!!!

I am happy with it. Now It just need to give it a little more power....19T, injectors, bigger AMM, and a Cam......Then It would be fast!

But I am not putting anymore into this car.....It will get a paint job done the road, but this about it....

Now it is time to start on the 82 244turbo! I have some BIG plans for this car.
Coilovers, IPD big Sways (which i got), 17x9 or 18x9 wheels, Big brakes front and rear, B230FT swap (maybe +16V), MSnS...etc. Now i just need to get that internship, to fund this project.......

well lets start small.....Big swaybars, wheels, custom coilovers, Chassie braces, Intercooler install, and some K-jet tuning.....GT/flathood hood swap.

Okay....well I hate to disappoint, but I must....

We finished the rear of the car up to the center......Need to fishup fixing the A-pillar, and get a new "full" gauge hold. Then up goes the last top trim piece, then I can add the center council and hook it all back.....Plus patch the rear cargo floor carpet.....

Only major problem we are having now is the door panels.... THe 89 and 91 are different so slight modifications will be made....

I am thinking about leaving a slight two-tone to the front dash and to the door panels.

Here is what I got....

Well that is all untill We mod the door panels and get a new pillar pod.....

A little annoyed that the passenager rear (trunk) window tint is starting to peal off and bubble....I will take it back when it gets worse.....

You've inspired me, I went and got a 940 wagon Friday. Needs lots of work inside but second owner 93K beige with tan. However I too was thinking of going black. How did you get the all the interior trim black? Paint stain or replace? and the carpet were used, aftermarket or custom build?

Thanks....And good for you

I went to a guys house and gutted a 89 740 project car he had, that was going to be junked.....I got everything to do the swap for $175.....Carpets included were from the same car....I assume OEM.... The 89 pieces are actually Black ABS plastic covered in a black vinyl.....most of them are anyways.

It is here in a previous post: https://volvoforums.com/forum/showpo...4&postcount=21

Default Interior is finally Done....

Well, it has been 2 months since I first started this project, and I must say I am glad it is done......for the most part.

The New Black interior really makes the car 100x better inside. I drove ~350miles on saturday with a couple friends to visit another friend down in San Deigo, and I am pleased with the how comfy the seats where.

Anyways.....with out any more delay, here it is!

Here is what is Left over from the tan pile:

I like the black and tan look. I think it breaks up the all black parts, and goes with the dash tan strip we left. It is now ready for a booming sound system, and We just need to give her a new paint job, and some moldded plastic floor mats.

Overall, it was a fun time gutting, cleaning, running, repairing, and installing. I now have a One-of-a-Kind 740Turbo Wagon.....yes!

Enjoy.

You're right about the black/ tan combo. I'm going to try to mimic your project (if it ever stops raining here... 18 days straight and counting) but I've had no luck finding a donor car the right color, so I'm working with stripping the plastic trim only and repainting sections with krylon fusion., leaving the leather seats, lower panels and carpet tan.

So far I've tested flat, semi and gloss, but nothing jumps out for me any idea what yours is?

Thanks, Hope it stops raining....
I am sure you will find some parts at a junk yard....

All I could find is the krylon fusion gloss. I used it on a few of the pieces, and it seems to be ok. I will wait the full seven days before I apply the prdoucts. It does scrape of if you try during the first few days.

I painted the pieces, then after a day, I used some steel wool to "buff" the gloss paint to match the other black pieces. I don't care much for the tan floor mats I have...I am waiting to get some moddled plastic floor mats in black. It will hide dirt and keep the black carpet clean!

Hard to find a good mixture of colors...I saw you keep piecing it together and hopw you find what you want.....

Not really. If you make them long enough to mount where you can get to it would be nice. If it starts to boost spike really bad, then just shorten the hoses.

Not yet.

I will probably take this car next time we go to Willow Springs... Unless the 244 gets new suspension parts, then I would take that.

I never AutoX'd before, would like too. I never dragged, would like too.
