Default 1992 Volvo 940 stalls out in wet conditions

My 92 940GL has twice stalled out after going through a car wash or once in very wet road conditions.
It starts intermittently and can maintain a smooth engine above 2000 RPM but stalls below that. When it stalls it sputters and sounds like fuel flow is weak.
Wires are not wet not distributor.
Is there something that gets moisture that would cause this?
Once vehicle has time to dry out the problem is gone.

R u sure the distributor doesn't get wet? There is a Volvo SB advising removal of the black shielding on the dist. cap for just that symptom as water powers right down onto the cap and distributor.

There appears to be no moisture around that area. Problem started about a 18 months ago after I had cylinder head replaced. What is an SB and where can I source to read.

Appreciate the assistance

SB is a service bulletin. I don't know exactly where you can see it but may be Google it?
It says pretty much what I mentioned.
