Volvo Experts:

i am stumped. Do the L/R and R/r brake lights come on when the brake pedal is depressed, and key is in ACC mode? I have directionals L and R when selected but no brake lights.

I do have brake lights when in RUN mode. At one time I believe I had brake light operation in RUN mode but no more since I repaired the L/R ckt foil with the 5 bulbs mounted. The right-angle white connector was not providing power to the ckt foil so I repaired with a solder connection.

The Blue Bently book has my answer but very hard to follow the circuit paths and devices that are interconnected.

The brake lights are wired to come on whenever the brake pedal is pushed, with or without key in or on.

 

Guess what? Found fuse 7 blown (8A). Brake lights operate in ACC mode. Correct operation also in RUN mode. Guess I was too tired to see the trees in the forest.
