Hi everybody,

My name is Doug and I am the proud new owner of a 1992 240 DL five speed. It is silver over back cloth, and is 9.5/10 in all respects .

The POs were college professors, so it got good care, but was by no means over loved. I am giving it a thorough going over now, checking and replacing normal wear components such as timing belt, brakes, diff fluid, filters, etc. I'm looking forward to tracking the car in safety schools and such in the future, so suspension and steering component upgrades are in the works as well.

I'm really impressed at the simplicity of the car - it is light years simpler than my 1989 BMW 525i, and I'm always discovering cool little bits such as the jack pegs(??) and total lack of sunroof motors and climte control. The car is such a pleasure to drive, and I am looking to spend as much time under it as in the driver's seat.

I look forward to learning a lot, and will post pics if my wife allows use of her camera

 

Congrats Doug, Silver 240s are among my favorites...how many miles?...does it have ABS?
