1993 240 wagon
Hello all, I am new to the forum but not new to Volvos. Have you ever heard of leaving your door/doors open so long that it trips some sort of anti-theft system? I sort of remember having my "88 towed to a service garage to have the mechanic tell me it was some switch under the back seat?? This happened when I had been detailing the car for quite a while with all of the doors open. Now a similar thing happened with my '93 and I cannot get it to turnover at all. Does any of this make sense, or should I start looking into starter issues. Thanks, and Happy New Year to all.

Doug,
Never have heard of an anti-theft that engages like that. Check fuse bank #8(door lock solenoids, glovebox lamp, trunk lamp, under-hood lamp and salon lamp, elec. antennae). Narrow-down those lamps first as one may have shorted-out and is drawing power. Sometimes the glovebox lamp stays on while g-box is closed. I have an issue with my door solenoids right now. One is bad (sticking) and had been draining my system. I pulled the fuse until I can get to those locks.
