Default 1994 940 AC Heater Vacuum Climate Control

So, my blower motor finally died...well actually it would go on if I hit a good bump or someone could kick it. Before it died the vents appeared to be working normally when they worked. It wasn't until I started reading these threads that I was made aware that the vents may not have been working correctly...e.g., upon acceleration vents would cut off...that sort of thing. However, here's my problem. I replaced the blower motor with one from FPG...appears to be an exact fit. But, it doesn't seem as though I am getting the full force coming through the vents, especially the front vents. At first I thought it might be vacuum problem but the the output does change when the vent control is changed...just not that much air coming out of any of the vents even on the high setting. It's the same problem when the internal circulating air button is depressed. My question is could it still be a vacuum problem such that the vents are not opening fully? Or is it if the vents work at all then its not a vacuum problem? I checked the vacuum hoses...don't see anything wrong. Checked the check valve...air is only passed in one direction, albeit with difficulty...should it be difficult?

Sounds like a vacuum problem... Valve should be totally unrestricted one way, closed the other.
