hi, so I have a 940 that I'm trying to diagnose a no start problem on, the car cut out when I was pulling off and wouldn't restart, inspected the cap and rotor found it was worn so replaced it the car then started went to drive it and when I accelerated it stalled out again and will not start again, it will sometimes splutter and will fart when the key it let off when trying to start it. today I checked the spark timing with a timing light and found that the spark seems to be very inconsistent and I am now running out of ideas so any help would be much appreciated
things I have checked so far.
- replaced cap and rotor
- replaced coil
- has fuel and spark although seems inconsistent
- bypassed radio suppression relay no change
- replaced Coolant temp sensor
- Cecked timing belt all okay marks line up
-checked the resistance of the crank sensor came up as 144ohms

 

try jumpering the fuel pump relay and measure the fuel pressure at the rail.
