Tupa, Some mechanics idea of cleaning the throttle body consists of taking off the hose and opening the throttle wide open and spraying in some cleaner. It is an easy job and you will know it's done right then. Get your gasket like tech says and take off the throttle body and take off the electrical sensors around the body and then spray it with throttle body cleaner.not carburetor cleaner. let it soak for awhile and then wipe it clean and spray again if need be. It's aluminum so don't use anything to scrape it out. Clean all the orifices and set it aside and take the idle air motor off that is right below the throttle body. It has an electrical connection and 2 rubber hoses. There is nothing to take apart here but spray it and then open it up manually and spray it again. Spray some lubricant in it but don't use a petroleum base lube because it will soften the seals inside. Really an easy job and you know it's done right. Tom

How long were the shocks and struts bad for before you replaced them?

You could also have bad suspension bushings.

they were bad for like....6 years or so, because the car was my mom's and she says that that car has always had that problem with the shocks, that it has always felt like that, so i decided to change them once and for all and this happens, so you say that the springs might be worn out and that bad suspension bushings? is that all or something else i should tell the mechanic to change?

i dont really know about the nivomats, why? i also noticed that whenever i pass a speed bump, the rear shocks will do a hiss sound, and the front ones do not do that, is that normal? and what should i tell the mechanic to check? the entire shocks and the springs and everything?

I aksed about the Nivomats because they are shocks that pump them selves up/Self leveling.
If they are removed and Gas ones are installed the rear will sag and ride very rough.
You have to install heavier springs when changing from Nivomats top gas shocks.

Ask him to check the suspension. Tell him it rides like a truck.

Thats a pretty good price.
The part is probably about $100.00 and about 1 hour labor. A guess.

yeah i called someplace else where they have volvo pieces but they dont have that part they have it for $100 bucks each, and in the volvo dealership they are charging me $60 dollars for installing them, i guess its a good deal, and the shift **** is $240 dollars at the volvo dealership(only the rubber part), the right sun visor of my car which is broken is $170...Im just going to wait till ebay lists a right sun visor for my car, they have one but its for a 940 with sunroof and it wont fit my car

Cool!!!

I have heard there is a noticable difference from the Cam.

Are those 850 Copy Rims?

They look like 850 rims.

indeed they are hehe, i will try to have a better pic tomorrow , ill take it in day time this time, do you like it?

also, i didnt understand what the Cam does, it says

"This street performance cam is for B21, B23, and B230F engines in 240 and 740 series 1978 to 1993. Including turbo models. For non-turbo cars you will gain about 12HP and take up to 1.2 seconds off your 0-60 times. Street performance profile increases midrange torque and allows the engine to rev more freely to produce more horsepower. Cam is ground on a new billet."

if i install it will this car be faster than the 940 turbo? or worse? I think my engine is a b230 not a b230f, if purchase this, what performance upgrades am i looking forward to? like a noticeable faster ride?

EDIT: NEW PICTURES, tell me what you think about it tech
