Hello everyone. I was recently given a white 1991 240 wagon as a spare vehicle and it's rather thrilling to own such an iconic car.

Three issues that I need advice on please:

1. It has 3 of the 4 14" hubcaps and and spares seem tricky to find. An tempted to remove the three and clean up the steel wheels before painting silver/grey or white, the body colour. Thoughts?

2. The corner fender trim with reflector is missing on the front and back drivers side. It seems unlikely that I can find replacements and wondered if I should remove the remaining trim which seems to trap rust underneath?

3. The passenger rear door and rear quarter panel has blue paint spatter. Any thoughts on the best way to remove?

Many thanks.

As far as the hubcaps and trim are concerned, you can check your local junkyard. Usually they pull the hubcaps and sell them separately. Most likely you will have to pull the trim pieces yourself. The front trim should be interchangeable with sedans. I believe the rear trim pieces are specific to the wagon but I'm not positive.

I know these cars are becoming rarer in the junkyard (at least here in the rust belt) so when I lost a hubcap I sourced a replacement from a local volvo specialist shop that had a mini volvo junkyard. They charged me somewhere around $15 for a replacement. This was a bit more than what I wanted to pay but I hadn't been able to find it elsewhere. You can also search on craigslist for parts locally. There was a set of 4 for sale recently by me but they seem be no longer available.
