Hi all,
The bonnet/hood hinge has snapped on the driver's side of my 240. The same thing happened on the other side a few years ago, but then the wonderful Jump Leads garage in St Anne's-on-Sea was still operating and Brian was able to supply most parts I needed, including the hinge. Now that he has retired, I've no idea where to go for parts, and a quick look online hasn't come up with any hinges. Can anybody suggest where I might get one? I can't bear that just after his 30th birthday, this could be the end of Septimus, he's going so well..(at least until the rising number of low-emission zones make that happen anyway)

If you're following any of the number of FaceBook groups for the 240 model of Volvo's, I'm sure you'll come up with many members who could help you out. I know I've come across quite a few parts from there, as well as eBay. Had to replace a hood hinge earlier last year on a 240 I resurrected out of a fellow's yard, which had been sitting for about 4 years. A hot non-running mess, but now it's absolutely complete, looking great and a real head turner. Hinges are out there and plentiful.
