240 ecu
Hello All,
I have a 1990 245 that currently uses a white label 561 ECU. I now have a white label 951, from a 1993 245. Assuming the 951 is functional, in anyone's experience is there any benefit/gain from swapping the white label 561 for the white label 951. Living in Georgia eliminating the cold start injector would not be a problem.
Thanks, in advance.
Fred

I doubt it would make any difference, unless your ECU is bad.
btw, the elimination of the cold start injector is done by spraying more fuel in with the regular injectors, so there's no net difference. the non-cold-start-injector cars start just as easily in cold weather. If you DO use that 951, I'd probably disconnect the CS injector just to be safe, and put a indelible permanent label somewhere in the car indicated such so that a future mechanic won't freak out.
