Default 240 ECU question

I have a bad ECU from a 240 DL (561 Pink Label....of course). The issue with it is that it does not energize the fuel pumps at any time. New ECU fixed the problem.......anyway, is there anyone that takes these broken units and repairs them or recycles them, or??? I don't want to throw away something that can potentially be repaired easily and economically.

Thanks

Unfortunately, auto manufactures have the (f...ing) bad policy of not providing repair information on anything electronic. Even something as simple as a fuel pump relay circuit board.

A few years ago I picked up a REBUILT unit on ebay. This was for my 89 740 gl. I seem to recall my old unit was a pink label ecu. I don't know who the rebuilder was but I am still looking for one. Would be nice to find someone . Sorry can't help at this time.

Default Rebuilt Computers

I think the only way to "rebuild" a computer is to replace the whole circuit board. Good to know someone is doing it.

Ok did a little searching over the weekend as we were getting a snow storm. Sent a request for quote to this company asking for repair of my old 1989 740 gl ECU. I got the quote back today . They can do the repair and say guaranty for life . Cost is $149 plus additional $15 for return of shipping. Name of the company is MODULE EXPERTS and their web site is moduleexperts.com

NICE! Thanks for the info. Guess I will hang on to the old unit and get it repaired for a backup
