Default 240 engine oil

Hi,

I have a 1993 240 with B200F engine. Can anyone tell me pse what is the recommended oil for this car?
its done about 240,000km and is pretty tight, no smoke etc., pulls really well.

cheers
Malc

10W30, most anything of halfway decent quality, there's little point in putting synthetic in these cars. I suggest using Mann brand oil filters with each oil change.

now, if you live where it gets really really cold, you might use a lighter oil in the winter, but 10W30 will take you through most 'sane' climates summer and winter.

Thanks v much. I’m in Wellington NZ. Not too hot or cold.
I’ll get on and change it. I’ve found a source of Volvo filters here which is handy.
cheers, Malc
