Default 240 FASCIA ADAPTOR

Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a fascia adaptor so that I can fit a standard car stereo head unit to my 1991 right hand drive 240 se? One manufacturer here in the UK only produces left hand drive uints for some reason.

Thanks everyone

my huge search on a range of sites has revealed thus far, nothing. I fear I may have to get a hacksaw out and commit some dreadful ill upon my beloved 240 to get new stereo in. Old one makes a hell of a racket so must replace

Could you post a picture of your dash? I may have a lead.

I know this is a really old post, but I'm really struggling to find a right-hand-drive fascia adapter for my 240. Could you tell me where you found yours? Your help would be HUGELY appreciated!

if your 240 has the stereo cubby down load in front of the gear shift lever and under the ashtray, I hate to tell you what I did 25 years ago on our 87 temporarily, and never did upgrade. hah.

I took a piece of 'plumbers tape' (steel strap with a lot of holes), and bolted it to the post on the back of the DIN sized head, and put a 90 degree bend forward on it such that this strap + the deck filled the hole. then I took a small piece of scrap wood, maybe 4x4x1/2" and a block of foam rubber and sandwiched them under the deck and above this strap, and slid the whole mess in. I was *going* to make a panel to fill the gap left, but you really can't see it as its so low, so.... 25 years and 2 decks later its still there.

i put some nice 6.5" 2-ways in the rear deck of the sedan back in 87 when we got it, after about 15-20 years they rotted out, so I replaced them with some newer nicer oversized 6.5", and replaced the old tape deck with a Alpine CD that had been in my wifes old 965 which was wrecked.

the upper hole on the dash on our 244gl has a flock lined pocket which was OE, but I've seen some with the stereo up there.
