Default 240 gauges to fit original optional spaces

Hi all,
Some time ago I saw an outfit that supplies gauges to fit the pop-out filler blanks in my 93 240 wagon dashboard next to the instrument panel. They had many and came with a little panel that would fit into the spot left by the blank plastic filler plate. I would like to put in a small tach and outside temp gauge.
Now that I finally decided to do this, I have looked EVERYWHERE on line and can't find the supplier again.
Any help with this from you all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance,
Bill

Never heard of such a place, not to say it doesn't exist. You can get a Volvo OEM tach from a 240, they are common. An outside temp gauge for a 240, not so easy--they are pri$ey... like $200...

Try VDO cockpit series gauges fit and they have the same look as the other gauges.

These gauges are a standard size... 52mm. VDO, AFAIK, made the the original volvo gauges, and they were simply rebranded for volvo. As said, above, the VDO cockpit series gauges probably will look most similar.

What you probably need is the trim pieces, because the plastic for the gauges to fit in is already there. I usually look on ebay...
Volvo 240 Gauge VDO Plastic Trim and Rubber Feet | eBay

This is probably what you need. Then the gauges, you just slide in (with the feet) and put this over it. Voila! what could be eaiser?

You can also find many guages on ebay. I found all of mine there:

Best of luck.

Finally re-read this.... for an ambient temp gauge, I'd probably recomend this:
397-154: Vision Black Outside Temperature Gauge | VDO Gauges | eBuggies.com

One of these days, I plan on getting this.

You can find volvo branded ones on ebay

Volvo 240 Turbo GL GLT Outside Temp Gauge w Sender Celsius Good Shape Works | eBay
such as this, but they want too much. Eguages is cheaper, it's vdo, and it is new.

Thank you all for the information and valuable links.
I will now pursue what you've sent and continue to make little improvements to the 240.
As always, the forum members prove to be the best.
