How do I remove the back seat of a 940 volvo

A sedan. I have the same question and it is a 1994 volvo 940.

 

You have to push down hard while pushing the bottom cushion toward the back in order to release the latches. There are two on the front edge of the cushion about a foot inward from the edges. Sometimes they could be a pain. Once the bottom is out, then the bolts are exposed to remove the back.

I believe the top of the backrest is hung on hooks, and once the bottom bolts are off, it just lifts up.

 

I see the seatbelt harness bolts so far, but i will keep looking.
