Default 240 Manual Brakes?

Just wondering, has anyone has done away with the brake booster on a 240 to make it manual brakes? Was considering trying it myself and was interested in the thoughts on the forum on how to accomplish the conversion.

You won't be able to stop the car.

Try it - block off the vacuum line going to the booster so it no longer works and carefully try to drive the car - you won't be able to stop it (with a reasonable amount of force)

Hoonk is right. Power assist became necessary when bakes went to front discs many years ago because the disc brakes needed so much more pedal pressure. And with the 4 wheel discs on the 240's even more pedal force is required for stopping the car
