240 on eBay?
Julie,

Here's my take on it. Using eBay to SELL a car is a great benefit! I mean, you are almost always selling a car "sight unseen". I don't think that there is any seller who can actually list every little problem that might be discovered during a good test drive, and I think that any seller has to be aware of that.

I bought a car (not Volvo)on eBay and have to have it shipped to my home. While there were a few things that surprised me for being included or working, I was astounded at how many little things that didn't work that I had assumed would!

So, my advice is... keep that in mind. If you can physically see the car, you are in great shape, but since that isn't normal, assume that you too will find lots of little things that weren't mentioned.

I am NOT saying people who sell on eBay are dishonest!!! But, just like buying a car "in person", the seller can't normally remember, or be willing to disclose every little fault that might just drive you nuts!

BTW, I'll probably try to sell that car that I bought on eBay. For exactly the reasons that I mentioned.

240 on eBay?
I bought my 240 off ebay and got a steal. It was a 91 240 sedan 5 sp. with only 87k at the time and it has been a great car. It's always a little more safe buying from a dealer that sells on ebay because more than likely they have checked the engine and made sure that everything is alright.
