240 towbar recommendations?

240 towbar recommendations?
It looks like I may need to tow my 245 behind a truck on a regular basis in the near future. Does anyone have any experience with or recommendations for a towbar on a 240?
I came across this, but ideally I would leave the bumper in place.
Fabricating a version of this or something similar makes sense, though that one also braces itself on the front bumper, which makes me suspicious.
If possible, I also want to avoid messing up the crumple zone when the towbar's not attached.

I'm not sure its safe to 'flat tow' an automatic 240, at least not with the later AW70 transmission, as I don't believe these have the auxilliary pump required to lubricate the transmission internals when its in neutral and the engine is off. said aux pumps were mostly phased out by the mid 80s from a wide range of cars. you pretty much have to tow these backwards with the rear wheels in the air or on a dolly, and the steering wheel secured with a strap.
if its a stick shift, then you're fine, just put it in neutral.
as far as securing a tow bar, I believe you can use the factory tiedown mounts that are under the bumper, as those go directly to the front subframe.
