I just purchased a 1979 242gt! Im sorry im probly not posting in the right forum. I have some questions about my car and im trying to find someone who knows somthing about this car and also knows a little about aftermarket parts for this car. right now it has a problem with fuel flow i thought it was bad gas but it turns out to be something else. im not a mechanic and i dont have all the tools to test anything but i think it a weak fuel pump. Is this common? seems i read it somewhere that it was so im figuring thats what it is jus wanted so advice. it runs perfect with half tank or more but any lower or about at 1/4 tank it sputters and it sucks driving like that so i jus fill up all the time. oh yeah this car has literally 1,000,000 miles on it but the tach is broken so i dont know the exact milage. I NEED LOTS OF PARTS. THANK YOU VOLVO PEEPS

 

That suggests a problem with the in-tank fuel pump or the hose that is connected directly above the in-tank pump.
