Default 245 hatchback hole screwed

Hi again.
I stumped my local Volvo shop today.
The top whole for the hatchback's support arm it stripped. There doesn't seem to be any way to get behind it to replace the nut, or whatever is back there. It seems as if there would be a reasonable way to repair those without welding. Any ideas?
Thank you.
PS. The IPD non turbo sport exhaust turned out just as I had hoped. I was very worried that it would end up sounding like a riced Honda, but it sounds just a little deaper than stock.

Sorry but Im not sure how to get inthere. The only thing I can think of is to drill a hole if you have enough room and then install a rubber plug.
