Default 740 dying when wet

I have a 1992 740 non turbo wagon. I have been having an infrequently recurring problem for several years that no one can diagnose or correct yet. Periodically, the car will stall in extremely wet weather conditions. It will almost always stall if I take it through a car wash (so naturally I avoid this). Once it stalls I cannot get it started right away, but if I wait for about 15 minutes it will start again. If I wait less time, it may start, with difficulty, but will usually quit again. I have an infant and young child and the car recently stalled in the middle of a huge storm on a highway which was a serious problem. Any suggestions or help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

First of all what have you had done already?First i would check your speed sensor any cracks in the wiring replace it.2 check your engine wiring harness at the main plug at the firewall. How old is your dist. cap, rotor, and wires.3Check your coil look for black spots from possible arcking.I know how you feel don't need any children getting hurt!! Check those things and let me know.
