Changed the right couple years ago but no record of brand/type. Now need a left!
It has front ABS only.
If you recognize this one please let me know! Parts stores offer 3 styles.
TY!
Can't help you with the brand but you have ABS on the rear wheels also - the ABS system uses the speedometer sensor in the differential to know what's happening with the rear tires.
re: the caliber... I see two pistons on the inside, are there two more pistons on the outside, or is the outside a moving piece that gets pulled together by the inside pistons as they push against the rotor? What year 740 is this, turbo or non-turbo ?
btw, first pick, your rotor looks pretty deeply worn, you should use a brake disk gauge to measure how thick it is, and if its even close to the wear limits replace it along with the pads, same on the other front side...
the 91+ Girlings are single pot, not double pot, and the DBA/Bendix hgave the bleed nozzle at a different angle.
btw, thats a very good site to get Volvo parts, as they started as a purely Volvo specialist and are one of the largest Volvo repair shops in the greater Portland area where Volvos were once really common. They've expanded to Subaru and other makes to keep in the market, but still fully support Volvos.
perfikt people. It is a '90 with turbo and sliding arrangement 2 piston type [if i remember correctly]. That ABS configuration I never would have surmised- thanks for all info-
believe i can move along with this.
