740 has no power

740 has no power

My 740 runs great at idol speed and will reach about 40 mph just fine but it bogs down badly after that. If i feather the throtle it will attain up to 70mph but the fuel consumption has more than doubled!Any ideas?

maybe

i was told by my wifes uncle that the cat was punched out but i can only take his word. how would i know for shure or is it better to replace it? how do i know i even have to?
