Default Has Spark, Has Fuel, Strong gas smell - No Start?

I have a 94 Volvo 850 turbo, with around 160k miles and it has been running fine, today I was standing beside the car, while it was running, all of a sudden it started revving, to about 3k I tapped the gas, and then it got stuck at 4k, so I shut it down. It wont start back up, I check the fuel rail, getting fuel to the injectors, got spark, and no collapsed intake hoses, checked (not thoroughly) the vacuum lines and all seems ok. So I leave, come back maybe an hour later, start it up, it gets stuck at 3k, let it run for maybe 45 seconds to see if it would calm down, and it doesnt so I shut it down, immediately try to start back up and it wont start. The only thing I can think of is the injector is getting stuck open? It does have a strong gas smell. I am just wondering if it is getting flooded by the stuck injector and the time away from the car gave it time to evaporate. If it is that, do you know of a way to test the injectors? I think they are like 107 a piece so dont want to jump into it and have it not be it. Any thoughts? Am I headed down the right path? Someone else mentioned to me that it could be my MAF or my Idle air control valve. The IAC has previously popped a hose off and had to re-attach it to the IAC.

Any Ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. You guys are great.

I would just remove the injectors and have them cleaned and flow tested. Cheaper then replacing them and the flow test will tell you if they are ok.

One other thing to consider is a bad fuel pressure regulator. Remove the hose from the FPR and see if you smell fuel in the line.

I vote bad pressure regulator, too... take off the vacuum line, and see if there's fuel in there. If so... bad regulator. That will flood an engine real quick.

Default Fixed - Bad Coolant Temperature Sensor

Fixed - Bad Coolant Temperature Sensor was causing the no start. I really did not think this was it, I called the Volvo dealership and they were actually very helpful. ( www.crownvolvo.com ) They pointed me in the direction of the MAF or the Coolant temperature sensor (ECT). Thank you all for the helpful advice, thanks to the forum, she is running great now.

Default For others having no-start issues.

Here is the diagnostic process I followed to end up at the temp sensor conclusion, it was also very helpful.
