Default 740 splash pan

Hello all,
I'm looking to buy a new splash pan for under my engine and was wondering if anyone has any preference. I'm looking at two, one at IPD and one at VLVWLD. The one at IPD is a little more expensive but if its better I would splurge.

HMMM...

Does a 94 940 need one o' those? 'Cause my car doesn't have one.

I noticed that IPD one for sale, but the car pictured seemed to have a shallow front air dam, whereas my car has a 3" deep dam/curb feeler under the front plastic bumper.

No troubles so far <knock wood>, and the car did a LOT of splashing today, being that Tropical Storm Cindy was in the area.

Hello Atwell; My 94 940 sedan has one. I ordered a replacement from FCP Groton last year when mine cracked. Looks like another wet summer, so it may need one. Or a set of oars.

They are nice to have.If not when you hit big puddles the belts will slip and some times cause hard steering do to belts slipping.

As long as it fits it doesn't really matter which one you buy.

OK, You guys convinced me, I'll buy one then.

Since my '94 lived in the South all it's life, it probably never "missed" the factory one. But now that it's in the frigid North, it will need that extra protection from snow and slush this Winter.

Besides, wouldn't that splash shield make the car more, uhh, aerodynamic??? <snicker>
At the very least it might quiet the rattling noise I hear while passing trucks at 80 MPH (air turbulence...) [sm=bangbang.gif]
