Default 740 turbo no flame trap possibly causing low oil level

bought the car at 147k did an oil change had to do the pan because the drain plug was stripped, so the oil was changed again. it's at oh 152k now and I've had to add up to 2-3 qts. twice. There's no obvious leaks or puddles under the car. I did pull the oil trap and clean it out. There is a lot of oil at the turbo inlet. I'm assuming there's a bunch of oil in the intercooler / charge pipes like on volkswagons.......

anybody else had / having this problem?

if your turbo is starting to go it can spray quite a lot of oil into the intake, where it gets burned by the engine, yet its not enough to smoke consistently enough to see.
