Goldenblock here!!! License plate bulbs not coming on.(wagon)
traced and confirmed 12 volts
bulb relay was changed and works.
all bulbs are good
all 3 brake lights work
checked and verified all fuses..
both license lights are out

Any body went through this let me know your steos

wsa there 12V at the license plate bulb sockets ?

 

maybe they went a million miles too many ! seriously if you have 12 v at the holder then can only be the bulbs themselves
at fault? i had one out recently and used an ancient mercedes bulb of the same class to fix .. but admittedly did have to do a little
'wiggling' and dielectric grease to get it to work....

 

Not 12 volts but getting power. I had piles of spares but just went brand new to be safe. Didnt work
someone suggested the harness... That was fine
could be the miles who knows.
i got something diy im rocking with now.
to keep the beast s off me!!!

guess it's time to trace wires then and good use of your test light/multimeter... i don't have a wagon anymore but isn't the tailgate hinge area a prime suspect for
wiring breaks?

 

Already did that everything tested fine. No breaks nothing usual
