Default 740 wagon for sale

This probably is the wrong place to post this and if so I am sorry. I have a 1989 740 GL Wagon I bought new. I don't use it anymore and want to sell it.

I live in Media PA a suburb of Phila. It needs front brakes, a new trans relay or lock-out kit and has an intermittent starting problem that I have seen described many times in the forum. Not sure if it is a radio supression relay, an in-tank fuel pump, or some other problem. I have no tools and little mechanical ability and no one in the family wants the car any longer.

I am hoping to get $1,200, pics available. PM me for details, etc. Thanks

Wow - surprised I have had no takers on this as I have seen you guys ask about cars in much worse shape. It has 127,586 miles on it and when in use every day ran great.

I'm willing to go down to $1,000 firm so please PM me for pics and any other info you may want. Thanks

This site isn't really about buying and selling, in fact I think the TOS discourage it, hence, few come here looking to buy cars, and more about how to fix the cars they've bought.

Speaking for myself, I routinely scan autotrader and craigslist looking for a deal, and if yours is a deal, someone like me will snap it up.

Good luck.

Unfortunately, your wagon presents the same logistical problem that many others do for me. I don't mind traveling to buy the right vehicle; but I would have to drive the car to my home before I could do any repairs. I have the mechanical knowledge; but all my tools (and work space) are located in Georgia.

A 1,000 mile road trip in a car that needs brakes is not an option for me. OTOH, buying a car sight unseen and paying upwards of $600 to ship a $1,000 vehicle is not a viable alternative. I wish you luck in selling the wagon; but I suspect you will be limited to local buyers.

Thanks for the comments. I was trying to attract local buyers and have it listed on Craig's list and was on auto trader. Seems everyone wants something for nothing these days. I guess maybe I'll fix it and put it back on the road myself. So, look forward to more questions as I begin the work.
Thanks again for the input

Now, THIS, is a wise decision! Really, what else can you get for this kind of money? And when you are done you'll have a real car!
