Talking 740 Wagon Suspension & Wheels

New to the forum with the recent purchase of a 1987 740 Turbo wagon with only 63k miles! The car is currently in the shop getting a full inspection and tune up but I already know one of the front dampers is blown and after parts and labor to replace with stock, I would be halfway to coilovers anyways so I've already decided to just go that way to begin with and pick up some BC racing ones (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vol...0-zg-09br#desc). It has a minimum of a 2" drop which I plan on sticking with because I'm going for usability & looks (not stance). I'm looking to get input from people who have had experience with coilovers and gotten aftermarket wheels since I want to get maximum width and a larger diameter without rubbing or interference. I would be okay with lightly rolling fenders but want to avoid heavily modifying the body or needing any repaint as a result of excessively rolled fenders/ rubbing. Would love to hear what offsets and spacing has worked on wheels since 5x108 patterns already limit the market of wheel options.

The factory offset is 25mm and you probably have a 6" rim. Check out wheel-size.com - they suggest 225/45ZR17 on a 7.5Jx17 ET18 wheel will work. I have 235/45-17s on my car and the treads are waaay wider than the 195/60-15s from my son's S40. Anything wider than the 225 and I'd move up to an 8 inch rim.
