Default 740 wagon turn signal confussion

I recently bought new front turn signal lenses on replaced both of my old units. The one on the pass side had an amber and the driver side had a clear bulb with one of the two filaments out. in the condition they were in the blinkers worked normally (the out filament was the running light)

I recently replaced the drivers side blinker with a amber bulb, used dielectric grease, kept my oily fingers off the glass ect and it was fine for maybe a week. Now however it has developed the fast blink on the drivers side which is associated with an out blinker bulb so I figured it must be the rear now so I checked the rear and its good blinking as it should (also the other filament is good as I checked that. So then I thought great somehow my brand new bulb is toast (good thing it came with two) so I swing around to the front to check the front drivers side blinker and ITS WORKING FINE. so for some reason I have the fast blink which I thought means that the blinker bulb is burnt out however no bulb is burnt out.

My only other thought is it may be a relay however I would think that any relay would be associated with both the driver and passenger side and the pass side works properly.

Any help is appreciated

No relay problem. Check the bulbs and make sure they are seated correctly in the sockets, may be jiggle them a bit--the problem is in there.
