Default 8-Track

Does anyone know if an early 80's, Volvo 240 8-Track machine would play in my 2000 V70?

Thanks

You mean to replace this unit for the system you have now in the dash? It could be probably grafted somehow but I doubt you'd like the esthetics.

It can be made to fit. But I think there are remote amps controlled by the head unit. So being made to play would be quite difficult. If you have 8 tracks you want to listen to there are under seat 8 track players. So if you want to listen to sabbath or three dog night or whatever that would be your easiest route.

If you have the 8 track player send it my way, it would go awesome in the 242.

Is this thread a joke? Does someone/anyone have a 8 track that still work? Is there a 8 track tape that isn't jammed?

Really, is it the music you want to hear or do you just like the look on people's faces when they see you pull a 8 track out and start to play it???

Still have one that works in my attic, but talk about a retro thread. No offense if 8 tracks are your thing.

I would bet that it would be a common ground setup for sound output. Your current setup is completely different and would require some pretty creative wiring or you could use additional speakers just for the 8 track. Post some pictures, sounds interesting.

Yeah..sounds like too much work for a V70. It would be a pretty cool novelty type player out of a car, but the seller said it would be pretty hard to set it up as a stand-alone unit.
