Fuel hose
As part of trouble shooting another problem I decided to replace my fuel filter. This car is a NY car ('93 940 non turbo) so all the fittings dissolved and the fuel hose is cracked. I need to replace the hose and was going to install a generic fuel filter. Anyone know what pressure is in the fuel system. The hose installed has a plastic liner which I imagine is for high pressure or is it just Swedish overkill. Can I go to the autoparts store and purchase generic hose and clamp it to the hard line from the tank or does it take high pressure fittings etc.
I have loved this car for years - best car I have had but I'm about ready for a bonfire...
Thanks for all your comments...

You need to ask for fuel injection line, take a sample to get the right size. Also buy some decent hose clamps.
There will be a fuel filter on the car, I suggest you find a manual and fit a new filter in the existing location.
Are you using alcohol blended fuels?
Regards, Andrew.

The old fuel filter was rusted with fittings completely salted out. The whole thing is going to be one piece for eternity. SO I will put an aftermarket filter in the same position but the fuel lines also need replacement.

You can also get the fittings at most auto part stores pretty cheap, I did for my 81 dl as they were pretty much fused together. I bought the filter and asked for the fittings and they had them in stock. They kinda looked like old school brake line fittings one with a large o ring shaped metal ring with a special bolt with two brass washers. The filter cost alot more than the fittings.
