I have an 82 240 which I drive peridically. A great car. If I don't start it for a week or so, it may take a few seconds of cranking before it starts--which is not unusual. So I went to start it and cranked for a few seconds, if fired for a few seconda like all was fine, but then died. So I tried cranking a bit longer to no avail--didn't seem to fire. I went under the hood and smelled a little gas. Let the car sit for several hours and it did the same thing, fired immediately, then died in a few seconds. Full tank, fairly new fuel filter, and it's getting spark. Before I dig in, any obvious things that come to mind by the experts? Thanks in advance for any pointers.
