Hello all, my little brothers (age 12 and 15) were given an 82 DL. They're super excited about fixing it up (it's not running right now), and I'd like to get them a good service manual for it so they can get an idea of what they're doing. I've heard the Bentley service manual is the one to go with, but it says it's only applicable to 83+ models. Will this still be relevant to their 82? If not, which S.M. should I go with?

I'll get some pictures up later. We're told that the timing is likely the problem, so that will be the first thing we'll look at.

EDIT: I'd also like to get an owner's manual for it (to please their mother), but again, I'm only seeing one listed for 83+.

 

Yes, most all the info in the Bentley will apply to the 82, but it won't show the wire diagram for that year.
