Default '85 240GL low idle

Hi guys,

Had a search through the forums and couldnt find anything on this so I thought Id ask:

My 1985 240GL has a low idle. In park its only just acceptable (~800 on the taco) and in drive the engine is almost stalling. I have replaced the distributor cap with no effect and have also tried adjusting the idle speed using the adjustment **** under the intake plenum also to no effect. In the manual it says to ground a blue and white test lead near the battery before adjusting the idle speed but I can't find this lead anywhere!

Can anyone tell me exactly where the blue and white test lead is to adjust the idle speed?

Thanks,

Charles.

The first thing you should do id clean the throttle body and idle motor then take it from there.
